This study assessed support for commercial tobacco retail policies among adults. Data came from SpringStyles 2021, a web panel survey of adults in the US aged 18 years or older (N = 6,455). Overall, 62.3% of adults supported a policy prohibiting the sale of menthol cigarettes, and 57.3% supported a policy prohibiting the sale of all tobacco products. Substance use among high school students decreased for some substances from 2011 to 2021. However, many students still used substances and the lack of progress in adolescents’ use of some substances is concerning. The 2022 Guernsey Young People's Survey asked more than 1,300 students in years six, eight and 10 about their lives. This report explores how the elimination programme has developed between NHS England, three pharmaceutical industry providers, and voluntary sector organisations since 2019, and profiles twelve ‘elimination initiatives’ that have been developed in different parts of the country and the wider health and care system as a result. In 2021/22, the number of attempts to stop smoking made with the help of NHS Stop Smoking Services fell for the tenth consecutive year to 31,359. This is a 0.9% reduction from 2020/21 and a 74.2% reduction from when the number of quit attempts were at their peak in 2011/12.
